The time for doing nothing is over. The Camper Rent is committed to sustainable camping. How do we do that?
- There are no large motorhomes that are fully electric yet. That's why we are offsetting the average emissions per week and motorhome by planting trees through TreesforAll.
Conscious camping
Fortunately, camping is much more sustainable than a flying vacation. Even when camping, it is possible to have as little impact on the environment as possible while enjoying nature to the full. How can you do this? Find out here.
Choose a sustainable campsite:
Look for campsites that are committed to sustainability. These could be campsites that use solar energy, minimize waste or support nature conservation, for example.
Minimize and recycle waste:
Only take the essentials with you. Avoid unnecessary packaging. Waste separation is also important.
Respect nature and local communities:
Leave nature as you found it. Do not pick any plants or flowers and do not leave any garbage behind. Respect the local flora and fauna. It is equally important to respect the local community and its customs.
In addition, it is advisable to find out about the specific rules and guidelines of the campsite you wish to visit. Each region may have its own regulations, for example regarding open fires, wild camping or access to protected areas.
So sustainable camping is not difficult at all! By camping consciously, you contribute to the conservation of nature and help to preserve the beauty of the natural environment for future generations.
